Amazing how many people let this ad go over their heads. It's just saying don't be safe - take risks. Everyone is getting all technical talking about if your stupid you'd jump off bridges or drink bleach. Come on people - lighten up and stop being so literal.

The point isn't that jumping off a cliff because someone told you to do it is creative. The point is that fear of looking dumb is the greatest obstacle to creativity. There are not a few people who were called insane at the time for ideas they had that we now consider brilliant, and often take for granted. Imagine where we would be if, for example, Wernher von Braun had given up rocketry out of the fear that people would laugh at him when his rockets exploded.

Stupidity does not equal creativity. It's apparent we are confusing mundaneness with stupidity. Not the same thing at all. Both smart and stupid people can be mundane - likewise with creativity.

Smart people cannot be creative, brave, take risks, etc.? How absurd. Stupid people are the reason our world is so screwed up--they take risks and make decisions without any consideration of the consequences of their actions, that is not bravery or innovation, that is pure idiocy and foolishness.

@bstheory, no, stupid is doing things without thought and getting in over your head. Taking a chance is not necessarily stupid, but not considering the consequences of your decision is. Smart people live with the choices they make, stupid people blame their choices on others.
