The Age of Stupid - trailer
The Age of Stupid is a 90-minute film about climate change, set in the future. Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite (In The Name of the Father, Brassed Off) stars as a man living alone in the devasted world of 2055, looking back at “archive” footage from 2007 and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?

@limosisV2 uhhhh,u probably don't know as u obviously aren't American-but Obama has done a lot and much of it has been negative.Bradley Manning,American assassinations by Feds okayed,Patriot Act extended-it was supposed to run out, aggressive increase of Fracking, ignoring 2 major populist issues:single payer and marijuana decriminalization, and treating activists like they've lost their minds for even suggesting it, extrajudicial war in Libya-has wrangled around having to declare war, increase

@SL1200Ltd you are ignorant and stupid if you believe global warming was "made up by Illuminati" you idiot ... get an education you paranoid lunatic ...
June 26, 2011 at 3:07 AM
I'm getting bored of these illuminati wet dreams of ruining the Earth. Global warming is invented and promoted by them - the bastards want to annihilate most of us to play their little society afterwards and spread these lies about global warming if not even actively trying to enhance one in motion. And if there really were a zombie virus they'd release it without batting an eye. Glad there isn't though. Satanist wankers.

@NMHAJA Why did you call me slow? That makes no sense at all. And why would you waist the small amount of money you have on vacations? Shouldn't you be spending it on food and your house?

Get out of your little "america is the centre of the world" bubble, and do some reading about the world. And as well as that, i never said america was a shit place, i was merely talking from a political standpoint. I've been to america and i have never met any people less educated about the world than some of the americans i met.
June 26, 2011 at 4:54 AM
Wulfman, i don't even know what that means. Everyone wants to be here? Who's everyone? And what do you mean "be here"? I've never met a person who wants to give up their life in their country of origin to live in america. And i have been many places around the world. Sure people want to travel to the U.S, but the same can be said about anywhere in the world.
June 26, 2011 at 5:13 AM
@limosisv2 Which is why everyone seems to want to be here?? Hmmm.....
June 26, 2011 at 5:31 AM
@NewFormofSilence Guess you should stop using YouTube since you dislike what this country stands for....
June 26, 2011 at 5:44 AM
@NewFormofSilence "It is also the only country to have used chemical weapons on a large scale." When? Where? Selective history or twisted, spun "history. As for the nuclear weapons remark. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bith legitimate military targets. In bombing them, The US forced the Japanese to surrender, instead of making an amphibious invasion of Japan necessary that would have killed an order of magnitude greater number of civilians. Try to be objective once in awhile. It'd do you good.

@limosisv2 The USA in number one in firearm murders? Where did you get that stat?
June 26, 2011 at 6:31 AM
And about obama doing nothing... Isn't nothing preferable to what your last president did? The best thing that has happened to the U.S in recent history is the republicans losing power

Ryder, i suppose i am a bit of a leftist, however i don't see how my factless points are any less credible than your factless points. And i'm loving the irony of telling a philosophy major to "think"
June 26, 2011 at 8:25 AM
@limosisv2 You are making noise. NewFormofSilens is just a leftist robot, parroting talking points... and you are too.
You sound like teens trying to scrape together "arguments" by simply making random statements about what you WANT to believe. Time to grow up a little... think (and speak) for yourselves. "Their man"(tm) What an effing riot... you sound like a teen... I swear.

And i love how your notion of a great nation is who could kick whos asses in a war. Idiot. See i like Americans. I've met a lot and generally they are nice people. It's the hypocracy and the idiots like you who follow it that pisses me off!
June 26, 2011 at 9:31 AM
Frog1599 ok, let me reword and reiterate my point. The U.S is the number 1 in firearm murders in the developed world. And being 4th behind a drug cartel run nation and another with constant civil unrest is not worth boasting about.

@NMHAJA So you can afford a computer, but not food? Please
June 26, 2011 at 10:15 AM
@gallai1 Why are Al Quaida and America enemies right now then? If we were "the same shit," wouldn't we be siding with the terrorists instead of hunting down and shooting their leader in the forehead?
June 26, 2011 at 10:56 AM
@gallai1 I'm pretty sure if the US hadn't done anything, Germany would still be separated and Soviet Russia would still exist. We helped save YOU.
June 26, 2011 at 11:31 AM
@Rayquaza0013 It's all Obama's fault. He hasn't done a god damn thing since he's been in office.
June 26, 2011 at 11:59 AM
How ironic, considering the title of this film is refering to the people who made it, not us.
June 26, 2011 at 12:51 PM
@limosisv2 Actually the US is ranked number 4 in world-wide firearms murders, dumbass (and number 8 in firearms murders per capita). South Africa is ranked first, for obvious reasons. Then Columbia (2nd), and then Thailand (3rd). On top of that, there is a huge difference between the number of firearms murders in Thailand (20,032) and in the US (9,369), so the US doesn't even compare to them, especially not to the number in South Africa (31,918). Maybe you should read more
June 26, 2011 at 12:52 PM
@limosisv2 And what country are you from then? I'm sure whatever it is is FAR better than the US and could kick our asses in any war, right? And criticizing a foreign country is definately NOT biased I'm sure.
