Harold and Maude
Harold and Maude Trouble Oh trouble set me free I have seen your face And it's too much too much for me Trouble Oh trouble can't you see You're eating my heart away And there's nothing much left of me I've drunk your wine You have made your world mine So won't you be fair So won't you be fair I don't want no more of you So won't you be kind to me Just let me go where I'll have to go there Trouble Oh trouble move away I have seen your face and it's too much for me today Trouble Oh trouble can't you see You have made me a wreck Now won't you leave me in my misery I've seen your eyes and I can see death's disguise Hangin' on me Hangin' on me I'm beat, I'm torn Shattered and tossed and worn Too shocking to see Too shocking to see Trouble Oh trouble move from me I have paid my debt Now won't you leave me in my misery Trouble Oh trouble please be kind I don't want no fight And I haven't got a lot of time

I almost always hate these viewer made montages of songs instead of the real video... but yours is awesome. Especially the very end where Harold and Maude are sitting in the Emeryville mudflats looking towards the San Francisco skyline. Thanks for paying tribute to my favorite film of all time.

@MrCrispian yea. i really like how harold changes through the movie. i feel as if the suicide attempts in the beginning were because he wanted attention, but by the end he had a whole new view of life. love for maude changes him, it as though his obsession of death changes into an obsession for compassion and love. i really wish the made the last scene maudes funeral, because i wanted to know what haorld would do.

@rebeccablacksfanclub harold and maude is a film about death and resurrection, where death and life overlap.maude conciders death as part of the life cycle,Maude cannot hide her inner missery at the loss of her husband..i feel mude had decided long ago to die at 80,Asbury got her to play most of the scenes for laughs but now and then a sad side of maude shows through, she is indeed the life affiming earth godess that now her work with Harold is through..goes..its a suitable ending.dont you think?

@MrCrispian its because maude went to a concentration camp correct? thats why they are there. but what do they have to do with dying at the age of 80?

most people miss the moment near the end when harold and maud are sidding gazing out to see...harold notices some numbers tatooed on mauds arm and asks about them she bruses him off with a iit dosent matter remark...but it does matter it is the reason for her force of nature spirit...and her decicion to die at 80.....beautyful movie...

Harold and Maude probably sparked off a series of "Coming of Age" films. A flop when first released and they say "College kids in the 70s made it trendy". lies. Bad News Bears with Tatum O'neal and "Bless the beast (and the children.. yeah named after the Carpenters song) were 2 other well known 70s and of course all of John Hugh type films in the 80s and eventually American Pie in the late 90s and 2k. Oh and Animal House in 78. Andrew McCartney's Homage scene of hanging in "Class" of Harold

@MrToyo15 It just goes to show that you don't really get the point of the movie.

" You see Harold, I feel that much of the world's sorrow comes from people who are this, yet allow themselves to be treated as that."

I agree with most of the comments. The film and the acting are both sublime. But you also have to hand it to Vivian Pickles who plays Harold's mother. I think that is one of the campiest and most fun roles on screen.

I have yet to have seen this movie but I heard a lot of good about it from a girl I love a lot ;) It looks brilliant but like Rush in Rio... I refuse to watch it without her, it would be sad to ruin such a beautiful moment, toutes mes premières fois... je les veux avec toi ♥
