@orangie84 It was aimed at Malcolm McLaren, the band's manager. Johnny felt that McLaren had screwed them over and was just trying to make money.

30 years later and we are still enjoying these guys!!
I don't feel cheated at all!!!!!
No I don't think Johnny's comment was actually aimed at us or the audience.
In fact I actually often wondered if that comment was aimed at himself!!
He was promised a life of stardom and just lost everything in one night.
I am not saying that is what he was referring to but that is a possibility
But I feel All along He knew exactly what he was doing..
And so few of us truly understand it..

thats because the end is cut off..
there is a pause after the song ends and then Johnny says Ah ha ha ever get the feeling you've been cheated..
I have the un cut vhs tape of this but it is in horrible condition..
I won't even bother trying to transfer and upload it.

I haven’t seen this since I got a DVD player. I still have the Filthy and the Fury on VHS somewhere. (Kids, that is was what we watched before those CD looking things.)

It still remains one of the most honest pieces of footage I have seen. You can tell it is all falling apart. Lydon is so obviously fed up and emotionally exhausted. Vicious is oblivious and Cook and Jones are indifferent. It looks absolutely miserable.
