@eareimaj The reason that I don't like the new movie is that the ONLY thing it was was action and special effects. The villain is one-dimensional, the story was unoriginal, the plot depended on characters making stupid decisions. If you want a good movie, try "The Wrath of Khan."

@jasonthebarbarian There is one thing that I do know, it's that the New Onion cannot make a satire on Comedy Central's dealings with the Parents Television Council, FCC, and irrational religious zealots (Muhammad thing). Comedy Central is for profit and is run by people with no sense of humor.

I liked it (I've watched all TOS and TNG) but I thought the cast was a bit lacking, you could never replace the original actors but they could have done better, and I did not like that as one Trekkie put it they did not have any moral theme or stand point that is star trek and what was Roddenberry's dream.

I like the old star trek and thought the new movie was dull at first but around the middle it became quite awesome. So I like both.. it's all good!

@eareimaj hey spock survived everything afterwards is all in all the same spock and all the other important vulcans or their ancestors most likely survived as well and hell it actually saves us from needing Star Trek ENT
p.s. it is fucking awesome compared to all the rest of today's shit and it is like wrath of kahn may fuck the plot but not by much oh yeah Vulcan is gone so what we see it 4 times in the previous movies and the vulcans will find a cool k-type world and call it Vulcan 2
