A report of middle-aged volunteers in the University of Chicago in 2006 found that while we're in bed for 7.5 hours, women actually sleep just for 6.7 hours, men for 6.1 hours.

@deltapunk21 I like DST. It forces me and everyone to get up earlier to use more of the daylight portion of the day. Far more people are awake during the extra hour of evening daylight than the extra hour of morning darkness, so since people are asleep anyway when its darker out in the morning their energy use stays the same, but it goes down when its light out and they are awake in the evening. After the 2007 DST extension studies showed energy savings, though very small, about 0.03%.

moving the clock only makes it so when people wake up there isn't daylight its superficial and vain intended to maeke people dumber by agreeing with it. Typical public school propaganda and absolutely stupid typical controllignmethods to drown society in regs and crap. Destroying what is natual and good more wrecks result from this money is lost people stil go to work leave the same time no matter what the clocks and energy use is the same the exact same no more and no less

I lived on a farm as a kid. The cows used to wait for me early in the morning when I went out to milk. But when DLST came about....I had to wake them up. Even they thought it was a dumb idea. Now I'm retired and don't have to live by the clock...but in the summer when folks call me and if I'm not up by their time...I must be a lazy lay about. I'm thinking about turning off land lines and cell phones...I already threw away the clock. LOL

I agree with Grandpa Jones. This is a good song making fun of a stupid idea! Moving the clocks around twice a year is one of the most idiotic ideas ever thought up!
